It is the hormones, folks...

For those of you that have become well aware of my lack of sense of humor, and grouchy grumpiness:

I want you to know that I am aware of it too and I hate it too.
I annoy myself.
I am sorry that I am less than a pleasure to be around these days.

The mantra I keep reciting is "This is a temporary state. Normal behavior will be resumed in about five month's time."

I don't want to be the cranky pregnant lady... I want to be glowing, healthy, and NICE, but it is just really hard to be nice right now, let alone GLOW.
I feel like crying all of the time.

Even though I take EVERYTHING personally these days, I hope that you do not.

It is the hormones, folks. I never understood it until now.

If our friendship makes it through this, then it is truly the real thing.

Thanks for understanding.

Jodi, I will be praying that this to shall pass quickly! Believe me, I totally know where you are coming from. I was not a "happy" pregnant woman who felt the best in that state. I will tell you, it is worth every minute once you hold your sweet bundle. Take care!

Aw, Jodi! You are such a wonderful gal. We are praying with you through this pregnancy. "This too shall pass!" Soon you will have a beautiful little bundle to squeeze. Love you all!

Perhaps I should have read the first comment a bit more carefully, my comment may have resulted in originality.

Awwww! Jodi, I can totally relate!! Truth be told I really didn't enjoy either pregnancy, and Cliff claimed he could tell almost immediately that I was pregnant cause I was such a grouch (the whole time)!!! And despite my efforts, a lot of other people noticed it too! ;) Poor Billie, when i was preg with Lily sometimes she would give me this weird if she was saying "what in the world is wrong with YOU mommy!?!" So you're definitely not alone!! I will pray for you often, b/c I know it's difficult!!
Love, Ruth

Totally understand. You are not alone and you are probably not as grouchy as you think you are. :)

Congratulations!!! I am so happy for you. Wish I could give you a big hug and you would feel like it is all ok. It really is worth it, but going through it can be so rough at times. I NEVER glowed-not once I don't think. It really is ok - this is a time in your life you have a good reason to feel a little grumpy :). Take good care of you and your wee one. And dont be too hard on yourself. I will ask Jesus to give an extra special grace for this time. Love and hugs!
