Mom, I'll save some for you! You'll have to try one with butter, honey- and a cup of hot tea... -----------------------------------
Dixie, it must be those home economic classes. ;-) I remember that one of the first recipes you had us memorize was how to make a white sauce. And I also remember you taught us how to make blueberry muffins- ...from "scratch".
*sigh* why, oh, why couldn't cincinnati be about 10 hours closer?!?! ;-) your bagels look SO yummy & i can't think of anything that would be more enjoyable than to be able to sit down with you & catch up over coffee/tea & a bagel! miss you so much!
Having lived in a heavily Jewish area in NY, and purchased bagels from many of their fine bagels shops...I doubt if theirs were any better than what we see here...I think I can smell them all the way down here - I'm positively drooling!!!
Well one thing is certain- they will never win a beauty contest.
Some were small, some were large. I told Kirk these variations were intended- so that he could pick one according to how hungry he was- I am not sure he was convinced. ;)
OH, those look amazing! Would you share your recipe?? I have one for Whole Wheat Bagels, but not Honey Wheat Bagels! Would love it if you have time to send it to me or tell me where you got it.
Hope you're enjoying your new house - I did enjoy the virtual tour! Beautiful and so warm!
