Christmas Trimmings

I love love love to decorate for Christmas- This year it has been even more fun because it actually feels like Christmas!

The temperature is dropping, the snow is falling, the porches with garland and lights, families gather...

...it such a special time of year.

All these things are just the trimmings of the holiday season- the main event is the celebration of Jesus Christ's birth.

This Thanksgiving we went to Illinois-

We (Mr. M. me, my sister, and her two boys) made plans to meet my parents at our cousin Rebecca's home- it was a mini family reunion!

We had a lot of fun eating, playing games, going on a fabulous hay ride, and keeping toasty by a bonfire.

It was an excellent adventure. I put together a slide show...

I didn't get very many pictures- but it starts with the trip to Illinois- mainly pictures of the boys- and ends with pictures of our breakfast with Mom and Dad Saturday morning before we had to say goodbye... until December 29th!
